Dandy is a magnificent gentleman - he is a kind, gentle ride with huge paces and a huge heart.
'Dandy' is our Gentleman, of Irish Draught x thoroughbred breeding, 17.1hh, and a good weight carrier, with really solid paces, and a long loping canter. He makes a really comfortable ride, wholly dependable, and very forward going. He has been with us since he was 9 months old, and only knows this home now that he is 16years of age, is very happy, content, and I cannot fault him as a riding horse. Very popular with our heavier riders with a good seat, up to 14stone. 'Dandy' and 'Sirrus' have always been partners since birth, having shared the same breeding field in North Devon!
He will always look after you, but at the same time he is scared of many monsters, and hates being on his own. During his agility sessions we are trying to help him overcome some of his scary moments as he has trained with Damien on a daily basis.
He is now 18 years old, and everyone enjoys his company. Here you can enjoy some of the training sessions he has with Horse Agility, Stretching and Bending, and Playing in the field.

Dandy is currently barefoot, since November 2012, and after a sticky beginning he is now comfortable, and going well on all his road rides. We have just now begun off-road riding with him, and all is going well so far! We hope that this will continue throughout the season, as well as all the other horses are doing.
